The Hobo Adventures of Koala and Toaster

Let's face it, it's always a good idea to have a backup plan. Last year (Septemberish?) Tawny and I decided that our would be to run away together and be hobos. International spy pirate hobos.

Step one of the plan would be to meet up, of course, in a manner as hoboish as possible. At the time I was living in Galesburg, IL, the only city in American where all three major railways cut through. Because of this, the train was the obvious route. We'd sneak onto a boxcar and meet up somewhere. In retrospect, we should have probably agreed on a meeting city, because just randomly riding trains is fun, but it's no way to find someone you've never met.

At any rate, once we met up, we would become an unstoppable hobo team, riding the rails and doing hobo deeds. We never did decide if we would be singin' hobos or stabbin' hobos. Or maybe we decided that it would be best to cover all bases--I don't really remember.

But of course, over time, America would become dull to us, and we'd need to move on, which is where the international comes in. We'd take the train to the coast and then stow away on a ship and become European hobos! We'd be hobos for a while longer, and then approach the government, revealing ourselves as American hobos. We'd offer ourselves as spies, because there is nowhere a hobo can't go, nothing a hobo can't find out.

But, when they sent us back (we'd insist on a ship, naturally) we would take over! The boat would never make it's destination and we would be its new masters. We would keep the ship and become feared pirates! The seas would be our home, where we would spend the rest of our days doing piratey things, like yelling at swabbies and shootin' cannons. (We'd get cannons, if there weren't already any.)

And that is the tale of how we will one day become the greatest international spy pirate hobos ever known.
