Questions In My Mind, They Only Seem To Confuse Me

Few quick nifty things.

A few days ago I auditioned for an improv show, Forms of 42, and I got in so I'm now a proud improv-er which is fun except that rehearsals are 10-midnight on weeknights. Yikes. But the first practice was really fun and I'm really glad I went out for it. It does wonders for your ability to create characters =)

Also, I got a radio show on WVKC, the college radio station. They give them out to whoever wants them so it's really not a big deal, but it'll be fun. =) I'll be on the air 10:35 thursday mornings on 90.7. You know, since you guys will all be driving through Galesburg at that exact time.

My suitemates have turned me into a facebook addict. Damn them.

On Saturday I'm going to a Harvest Festival thing with the Photography Club which means I need a camera, stat. I'm hoping someone will lend me theirs.

October 2nd cannot come soon enough [or last long enough].

And Then I'll Make A Fake Degree...

Really, I should be asleep. I've got a class in 7 hours.

But I'm too awake for that. =/

So, college. I suppose this is a little overdue of a post. So far, it's been really cool. First off, our entire [co-ed--I don't think I could live with all guys] floor gets along awesomely. Basically, if anyone's here, their door is open and anyone is welcome to come in. We all stopped knocking by the second day. Campell 4 = the most awesome place on campus. Regardless of what anyone in other dorms may say. =)

Classes, so far, haven't been anything straining. I only have 3 classes, so scheduling isn't too hectic. Plus I'm getting a radio show! Anybody that wants to can sign up for a slot on the college station. So that'll be fun.

Homesickness hasn't been nearly as bad as I figured it would be. Yeah, I really miss the people I left in Wisconsin, and all the familiarities, but it's so great here. No wonder I kept hearing about how great college is, it's like a summer camp. You're out of high school so you're running on this much better 3 or 4 class schedule [although the homework becomes worse] and you are living on your own, but you don't really have to worry about making your own meals or cleaning your own bathroom. And no need for a job! I almost -want- to take more than four years to graduate.

So it really didn't take long for this to become my home away from home--but I'm -really- looking forward to the end of the month. I'm going to Chicago to hang out with Merril and Nick [and go to that huge aquarium =D] who, lucky them, are going to a System of a Down concert Friday night. Sadly I can't make it up there in time for that =/ But I'm going to spend Saturday with that and then Sunday we're coming back home and I'm going to surprise the hell out of my parents and hopefully get to see Melissa. Plus, I'm planning on taking my car whether they want me to or not. I miss my little white car. Then that night, or maybe early the next morning depending on how things work out, I'm driving back down. Then I'll have my car here, and if I feel like coming home I only need to go as far as Dubuque, I don't know if that's how to spell it, where Nick's going to college and we'll carpool up. =D This'll work perfectly. I hope.

I leave you with this burning question asked by my neighbor, Brittany--why would you put sand in the microwave?
